Brain-Trust of the Theater

The brain-trust of the Theater is a THX Select Onkyo 7.1 Surround Receiver used strictly as the system's pre-amp processor. The Onkyo Receiver has 3 HDMI 1.3 capable inputs with 2 HDMI outputs. Upconversion of all video inputs to HDMI 1920 X 1080p output is also featured. This receiver touts all the latest surround formats thru its HDMI connections such as Dolby Digital HD, DTS HD, All channel stereo, as well as, numerous Dolby Prologic and Dolby Digital conversion for 5.1 information to transform to 7.1 surround. The video experience can only be appreciated from one of the theater's 5 custom reclining chairs. The system boasts 1920 X 1080p resolution from a Panasonic PAE2000U triple panel LCD projector with 3 HDMI inputs. The video engine in the Panasonic HD Projector also supports 1920 X 1080p 24 fps information. The image is projected onto an 82" 16 X 9 format Stewart Film Screen Fire-Hawk silver screen with hi-gain for optimal image on-and-off axis viewing. The screen discretely hides away in the custom soffit atop the center component cabinet. System video sources include a Playstation 3 game console with integrated Blu-Ray player, 2 controllers, and a Blue-Tooth remote, a Toshiba HD-DVD player, as well as a separate Panasonic Blu-Ray Player. A fourth video component, a Hi-Def Dish Network Receiver, rounds-out the viewing sources all of which are custom switched through the Onkyo Receiver's HDMI Inputs via the Niles IntelliControl One-Touch animation. All video sources are fed to the Panasonic Projector via 1 HDMI cable for seamless video viewing and lipsync correction.
